About the event
This FLAVA Fakeaway session brings families together to cook fried chicken and loaded wedges from scratch.
It’s fast-paced, fun, and designed to help parents and children reconnect through food, conversation, and shared experience.
If you’d prefer not to use chicken, we’ve got you covered.
Vegetarian alternatives include crispy cauliflower, fried halloumi, or plant-based chicken — just let us know when booking.

🍗 Fried Chicken
Chicken pieces (Breast, thighs, – boneless recommended)
For the Spice mix
Families are welcome to bring their own seasonings and spice mixes.
We’ll provide a range of everyday seasonings including paprika, garlic granules, black pepper, chilli powder, and spices like all-purpose — but the flavour is up to you.
Buttermilk Marinade
Please bring 2 eggs.
We’ll provide the milk and vinegar to make the buttermilk (500ml milk, 2 tbsp cider or white wine vinegar),
For the coating
We’ll provide the ingredients for the coating, including self-raising flour and cornflour
